As from July, we Malaysians can expect a 10% increase , plus or minus, of all essential goods according to the President of Federation of Sundry Goods Merchant Association Mr Lean Hing Chuan.
It cannot be plus or minus. It will be plus only. When it comes to price increase our merchants prefer increase rather than decrease. But in reality do we have to wait until next month?
We are very sorry, Mr Lean. Either you are too late or you were not in the country for too long. Your members have already started their price hike more than five or six months ago. Not only that. They have already started hoarding most of the essential goods. Essential goods like milk powder, cooking oil, flour and so many other daily-consumed items were missing on the racks of even hyper-markets. The situation has not changed yet. It still continues. So what is the point of complaining about the retailers!
But, the last thing of 10% increase, is not that important when we have been experiencing more than 200% increase for the last few months! Not only that. After the price hike of petrol, we ordinary Malaysians expect another 100% increase in all whether essential or non-essential items very soon.

Oh! We are helpless!
